SESION 3: LET´S GO SHOPPING

In this sesion we are going to watch a video about London. Go to the following website:

I am sure you want to know how to buy things in this city. For that purpose it is necessary to learn some useful sentences or formulae. Watch the following video where we are watching and listening a shopping dialogue:





Now, let's practice some useful shopping vocabulary. After that you are copying them in your notebook, each word with its meaning. They are  in this website:

When you finish copying them, go down to "Play Games and Tests" and complete the first Crossword.

Finally, read and complete the activity in:

2nd SESION: How to classify places in a town/ city, etc.

Today we will learn how to classify places that we can visit in London. For this purpose, we will use this map:

 


TASKS:

1.- We are going to know how to use the resource Cmaptools to create maps with your computer.

 2.- With your partner make a map of your town or city by using the Cmaptools.

3.- Complete the map given with more places that can be visited in London. If necessary, go back to the 1st Sesion if you need to remember them (last activity).

TASKS:

1.- With your class tell the others which of the images you have just seen, you already know from other situations in class, television, Internet, etc. Which ones would you like to know  and why?

2.-Imagine that you will go on a trip to London. You can book your ticket online, or phone the airline  direct. Explore the following websites to see which company would be the best for you. To book the ticket you must:

 Go to: www.britishairways.com

Use these internet sites to find two flights with each airline.

3.- Use the flight information to complete the table given in class. Design a similar one by using your  Open Office and send it to my e-mail.

4.- Working in pairs and using the Internet, choose one of the most important sights from the list below to design a poster to show their  characteristics:
